Tree of Life
This is my interpretation of the mythological Tree of Life in that life draws from death in more ways than we may realize. I don't see fountains of water with bright light. When I envision the tree of life, I see the murky unknown of the connections and amassed history of so many lives, choices and sacrifices of those before us. The history of the world and the many cultures that pass on traditions from generation to generation give form to our world and our own individual identities and motives. I see a tree in Autumn, about to shed its leaves before growing new ones when its next cycle runs its course, because death lends to the growth of new life.
